- Get a director's account. "# This: smokin logo on all your video pages and profile. # Your own logo, company/organization URL, and description on all of your video pages # Ability to upload videos longer than 10 minutes # Customizable name & value fields for each of your videos (ex: "Price: $4.25" or "Show Time: 9 pm PST") # Ability to attach a per-video URL to each of your videos"
- yeah, get a premium account
- if your video is longer than 10 mins. it simply wont upload and will not exist on youtube no matter what you do. what people do is divide them in numbered parts to see them in order. I've done it a trillion times already. F*cking sick of that
- Its limited to 10 mins so random people dont post huge videos that take up all the sites bandwith. Youtube's servers can only hold so much info. But if you want to make longer vids just get a directors account as previous people have said.
- I know a vid that's 24 min long... it was a collection of all the A&F skits madtv did
- This "stupid rule" is there because video consumes a lot of bandwidth and youtube can't afford to pay for all that bandwidth because it's a free site and because it employs an outdated business model. My suggestion: Forget about youtube and use http://www.vuze.com It's a far superior site. It uses the bittorrent protocol to transfer videos and therefore it doesn't need a limit on file size/movie length.
