Okay, so on Windows Movie Maker, how do you put personal videos into it and join them?

So, my friend and I have a youtube account, and we put our videos up and blah blah blah. But our videos look stupid with just the one video. We want to put different segments together. But we don't know how...I read click import videos and I tried it, but it didn't work! Help?
