Why do ipod videos come with USB as the only included charging method? Isnt that stupid?

Also, are the new ipod earbuds better than the old ones?

2. I would say its not that stupid considering that most people download there music to the ipod using a computer. Makes perfect sense to me. You can charge your ipod, download music,videos and pictures using the usb. I think it would be real inconvenient to have to use a special charger only for charging an ipod.
3. Yes, this is definately stupid. I was super pissed when I got mine and found out that was the only way to charge it. Plus getting a good charger is like 40 dollars extra. When I got my old ipod it came with a real charger so I don't understand why the new ipod videos don't. But luckily I sitll had the old one and it hooks right up to the new one so I can charge my ipod like normal. Personally, I liked the old earbuds better.
4. The charger is USB because an iPod is basically useless without a computer. You have to plug it in to your computer to put songs on it, so if it charges at the same time, all is good.
