My stupid ipod is being stupid and dosent want to play videos?

so after doung all the Rs multi times my ipod dosent want to play videos of any sort even ones i get from the itunes store i have the ipod classic 30gb, dose any one have any ideas besides throwing it agianst a wall. thanks ps ive had it for a while so there is no more warenty ppss it used to play videos just fine

1. umm......are u sure u got the right i[od??? mine's ipod nana the 2nd generation, only the third generation plays videos
2. try to restart it by pressing down menu and center button for 20 seconds or more
3. try first converting the video format to mpeg4.it works on my iPod:)
