Why do i look different in videos and mirrors?

In mirrors, when I dance, i dont look weird. In videos (AND PICS), i look kinda short and fat and i dance real weird. I dunno! Which one is correct? Do you guys feel the same way?

1. There is a saying....The camera adds 10 lbs....so no you are probably not short and fat and probably dont dance weird...it just looks that way.
2. Are you serious? Anyway, try using the maximum optical zoom that your camera allows; many digital cameras have a certain amount of barrel distortion at the wide end of the zoom (that is, when you're not using any optical zoom), while most have little to no distortion at the tele (zoom) end. That might account for the “short and fat”; but the “weird”, no disrespect intended, I don't think it's a camera issue.
