Why it is that some good songs have weird videos?

7. good question...im really not sure why....like sometimes ppl think more about the lyrics and the actuall music...that they forget about how ppl still look at the videos

Psychologically speaking, men are more stimulated visually and women more auditorially (hence the reason you don't see a lot of male models in videos); it varies in degrees with each person, so something that will stick in your mind, the wilder the better, is what producers shoot for. Think of a music video as a four-minute advertisement.
