My speakers are making a weird static/ crackling sound when i play music or videos.?
This has been happening ever since my dad downloaded windows XP for my computer. Before i had windows ME, and everyhting was fine. I know there is nothing wrong with my speakers, because we tried them on my dads computer, and they worked fine. So it must be something to do with the computer. Anyone know what the problem could be?

- try unplugging them and maybe twisting the cords around. they might be plugged in weird
- - Try another set of speakers on your machine, see if the noise is still there. - Ensure your drivers are up-to-date. See if there are XP drivers for your sound card on the manufacturer's website. - Look around your desk area to ensure nothing else has changed lately. Electronics like cordless phones, cellphones, etc can cause interference. If you are not sure what kind of sound card you have, try a utility like AIDA32 to check your hardware for you (google it).
